The Econ Club invites you to come to our first philanthropy event, an art show to benefit the non-profit Creative Enterprises, Inc. Creative offers adults with disabilities a range of programs, job opportunities, and classes. The organization benefits the community through its many green practices, thrift store, greenhouse, and cat shelter.The clients that are part of the art classes create some truly amazing and unique art. Their creations will be the focus of the night, and all in attendance will have an opportunity to purchase some.  For each piece of art sold, half of the money goes to the artist and half goes back to Creative for more art supplies. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served. A dressy casual dress code will be observed.

The Econ Club will also be doing an Impact study on the effect Creative has on their community. This will have two parts: a portion that will numerically quantify their contributions, and a second portion that qualitatively states their social impact.

While we are trying to raise money for Creative, they are also in need of some items like:

- Cooking equipment (pots, pans, knives, cutting board, utensils, etc.)

- Spices 

- Healthy cooking and nutrition books

- Art supplies (different types of paper, drawing materials, scissors, paint, etc.)

- Fabric, beads, or any recyclable goods that could be used for art classes

- Job placement materials

- Yoga books with basic poses, mats, and pillows

- CD Player

- Gardening materials, especially pots (can be used)

- Animal education books and materials

Feel free to bring any of these items in lieu of a monetary donation. We will have receipts for tax purposes available for both kinds of donations.
